Every preacher as a line, a phrase, that they go back to again and again.  One of mine (and I have few!) is that Christ leads us into “the high country of the Trinity where the air is thin, but the glory is thick.”  This was a painting I made my friend and partner in ministry Bruce Benedict for his 40th birthday.  I added some trees with liturgical colors and a stretched road that asks for a long obedience in the same direction.  It is that life of faithfulness that will lead us, one day, into the high country where we will breathe that clear air and experience the thickness of God’s glory.
